Summer Update: What the New Mini PCs with Arrow Lake, Strix Halo, and RTX 50 Can Do

May and June 2025 were busy months for the mini PC market. Manufacturers rolled out several models in which compact size coexists with top-tier Intel Arrow Lake processors, Ryzen™ Strix Halo chips, and discrete NVIDIA RTX 50-series graphics. Some are completely silent, while others are ready to replace a workstation or gaming PC. Here are the most notable new arrivals of the month, from Asus NUC and Zotac ZBOX to Twin Lake-based mini NAS units and mini PCs with flip-up displays.
Colorful SMART 900: a compact PC with Ryzen™ AI Max+ 395 and 40-core graphics

A mini PC shown at Computex 2025. It is built around AMD Ryzen™ AI Max+ 395 from the Strix Halo family, combining 16 Zen 5 cores, 40-core RDNA 3.5 graphics, and an NPU delivering up to 50 TOPS. The SMART 900 is much smaller than a traditional desktop and can replace a full workstation.
It is aimed at professional and creative workloads such as rendering, AI computation, video editing, and modeling. It combines desktop-class performance with the compactness of an aluminum chassis. The device uses soldered LPDDR5x memory, a broad set of modern ports, and at least three video outputs, which makes it useful as either a multimedia hub or a work machine.

Z4Pro+: a next-generation NAS based on Intel Twin Lake with support for up to 6 drives and AI features

This is a new NAS from a Chinese manufacturer that introduced the device in May 2025. Inside are either Intel® N150 or Core™ 3 N355 (Twin Lake) processors, supporting 16–32 GB of DDR5 memory and offering solid compute performance for a home server. The NAS supports up to four hard drives and two SSDs, and includes modern interfaces for fast data transfer.
The main feature of the Z4Pro+ is flexible storage installation combined with high-speed networking through two 2.5GbE ports. It is aimed at home and small-office use: media storage, backups, video surveillance, servers, and private cloud services. The Chinese ZOS 2.0 firmware includes AI features for face and object recognition in photos, intelligent search, and timeline-based content sorting. For international users that firmware is unlikely to be especially useful, but the device can be reflashed with TrueNAS, Unraid, or OpenMediaVault.

Shuttle XPC nano NE10N and NE20N: fanless mini PCs based on Intel N100 and N150

Shuttle introduced two new compact mini PCs, the XPC nano NE10N and NE20N. Both systems use the same 135 × 115 × 39 mm (5.31 × 4.53 × 1.54 in) chassis and run fanlessly for silent operation. The NE10N is built around Intel® N100 (Alder Lake-N), while the NE20N uses the newer Intel® N150 (Twin Lake), which offers slightly higher performance at the same 6W power draw.
Both models are suitable for office work, document handling, web browsing, and embedded use. Thanks to passive cooling they make no noise, and VESA mount support makes them convenient for installation behind a monitor. The systems are sold as barebones, so the user installs the memory, storage, and OS.

Zotac ZBOX CI675 nano: a silent mini PC with Intel Arrow Lake-U and Wi-Fi 7

The ZBOX CI675 nano is the latest model in Zotac's line of silent mini PCs, presented at Computex 2025. It is built around the efficient 12-core Intel® Core™ Ultra 7 255U (Arrow Lake-U) and uses a passive cooling system designed for stable operation with no fans.
Thanks to its thoughtfully designed chassis with a volume of about 1.8 liters, the CI675 nano can dissipate heat under load without making noise. It supports up to 64 GB of DDR5 and two PCIe 4.0 SSDs, making it a strong choice for a home office, thin-client role, or multimedia center. The model also includes modern ports and wireless modules, including Wi-Fi 7 support.

Asus NUC 15 Performance: a mini PC with Arrow Lake and RTX 5070 in a compact chassis

The Asus NUC 15 Performance is a new 3-liter performance mini PC shown in May 2025. It is built around Intel® Core™ Ultra 9 275HX (Arrow Lake) and a mobile NVIDIA® GeForce® RTX 5070. The model is positioned as an alternative to the gaming-oriented Asus ROG NUC, but without gamer-style extras like RGB lighting.
Unlike the ROG NUC, the NUC 15 Performance will be sold as a barebones kit, which makes it more affordable and more flexible for self-assembly. Inside are two DDR5-6400 memory slots (up to 32 GB), two M.2 SSD slots (one supporting PCIe 5.0), three fans, and a powerful 330W power supply. The device is suitable for heavy work, editing, 3D graphics, and gaming, while avoiding the look of a typical gaming PC.

The Asus NUC 15 Performance will go on sale in 2025. The starting price for the barebones configuration with Intel Core Ultra 7 255HX and NVIDIA RTX 5060 is about $1,200. Higher-performance builds with RTX 5070 and Core Ultra 9 will cost more.
