Five December Mini PCs: Compact, Powerful, and Unusual

At the end of 2025, several unusual mini PCs appeared on the market at once. The range covered everything from compact NAS systems to powerful machines with Strix Halo processors and RTX 5090 graphics. This roundup includes five fresh models that are either already available or preparing to launch. Each stands out in its own way: some focus on AI, others on gaming, and others on home or personal-cloud use.
FEVM FA-EX1

One of the thinnest mini PCs built around the flagship Strix Halo. The chassis is only 35 mm thick. Even so, there was enough room for a 16-core processor, powerful integrated graphics, and a full cooling system with two fans. The device is aimed at workloads where compact size, high performance, and the ability to work with external graphics accelerators over OCuLink all matter.
At the heart of the system is AMD Ryzen™ AI Max+ 395 with 16 cores, 32 threads, and Radeon 8060S graphics with 40 RDNA 3.5 units, operating at up to 120W TDP. Memory is soldered, up to 128 GB of LPDDR5x-8533, with up to 75% of it available to the GPU. Storage includes up to three M.2 2280 slots, one of which can be used for OCuLink, plus an M.2 2230 slot for a Wi-Fi 7 + Bluetooth 5.3 module.
- Processor: AMD Ryzen™ AI Max+ 395 (Strix Halo, 16C/32T, Radeon 8060S)
- Memory: 64 or 128 GB LPDDR5x-8533, soldered
- Storage: up to 3× M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0, one usable for OCuLink
- Networking: 10GbE, 2.5GbE, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3

The Youyeetoo NestDesk is already on sale, starting at $199 for the version with 12 GB of RAM and 64 GB of eMMC. M.2 SSDs are sold separately.
ACEMAGIC M1A Pro+

ACEMAGIC added a new device to its Tank lineup featuring Ryzen™ AI Max+ 395 (Strix Halo) with 16 cores, 32 threads, and integrated Radeon 8060S graphics with 40 compute units. This is graphics performance on the level of a discrete GPU, which means the chassis used previously for gaming models with RTX cards is now being repurposed for integrated graphics.
Unlike workstations based on the same chip, the M1A Pro+ is aimed specifically at gamers. It uses the recognizable TANK03 chassis with a three-mode TDP switch (silent, auto, maximum). It also supports up to 128 GB of LPDDR5x-8000 memory and up to 12 TB of storage. Support is claimed for four displays at once, Wi-Fi 7, and advanced cooling to sustain operation at up to 120W TDP.
- Processor: AMD Ryzen™ AI Max+ 395 (Strix Halo), 16 cores, 32 threads, up to 120W
- Graphics: Radeon 8060S (40 CU, RDNA 3.5), 126 TOPS AI
- Memory: up to 128 GB LPDDR5x-8000
- Storage: up to 12 TB
- Networking: Wi-Fi 7
- Features: TDP mode switch (Silent / Auto / Performance), support for 4 displays
Exact pricing and release timing have not yet been announced. The M1A Pro+ is expected to appear on both the Chinese and international markets in the coming months.
Thunderobot MIX G2

Chinese brand Thunderobot introduced the gaming-oriented MIX G2, a compact desktop system with top-end mobile NVIDIA RTX 5090 graphics and an Intel® Core® Ultra 9 275HX processor. Visually, the device looks more like a game console with RGB lighting, but inside it is still laptop-class high-end hardware.
The device uses a cooling system with a vapor chamber, heat pipes, and two fans. Claimed support is up to 120W for the CPU and up to 175W for the GPU, with a combined power budget of 230W. The system supports up to 64 GB of DDR5, two NVMe SSDs (PCIe 5.0 + PCIe 4.0), and includes Thunderbolt 5, HDMI 2.1, and Gigabit Ethernet.
- Processor: up to Intel® Core® Ultra 9 275HX
- Graphics: up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 (mobile, up to 24 GB GDDR7)
- Memory: up to 64 GB DDR5, 2 SODIMM slots
- Storage: 1 × M.2 PCIe 5.0, 1 × M.2 PCIe 4.0
- Networking: Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, 1 × Ethernet
- Ports: Thunderbolt 5, USB-C 3.2 Gen 1, USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 and Gen 1, HDMI 2.1, audio, power
- Cooling: dual fan, vapor chamber
- Dimensions: 332 × 212 × 45 mm (13.07 × 8.35 × 1.77 in), 3.2 liters
Sales in China started on November 20, and the PC is now available in other countries as well. The base configuration starts at $1,825, while the top version with RTX 5090 and 64 GB of memory costs $3,510. A lot of money, but a very powerful system.
Olares One

Olares One is another mini PC using hardware on the level of a top-end gaming laptop, but it is aimed not at gaming but at local AI applications and hosting a personal cloud. As with the previous device, everything here is built around Intel® Core® Ultra 9 275HX and discrete NVIDIA RTX 5090 graphics with 24 GB of GDDR7. It even has more RAM, up to 96 GB, along with a 2 TB SSD. All of this comes under the banner of a “personal cloud” based on Olares software, which runs on Linux and offers a marketplace of 200+ applications.
The 3.5-liter chassis hides a cooling system made up of a vapor chamber, two fans, and a copper heatsink. The manufacturer says the system can handle both AI tasks and developer-station duty. Of course, this monster is suitable for gaming too.
- Processor: Intel® Core® Ultra 9 275HX
- Graphics: NVIDIA RTX 5090 Mobile, 24 GB GDDR7
- Memory: up to 96 GB DDR5-5600, 2 SO-DIMM slots
